Competence area and profiles

We are seeking consultants for our Project Management competence area to fill the positions of Senior Project Manager and Program Manager.

Our Project Management team provides consultation and is operationally active in all phases of IT project management, from business analysis and establishment of the project organisation to operational management and project completion. The projects typically deal with IT development, migration and implementation.

We take a structured approach to project management based on the utilisation of recognised methods, such as PRINCE2.

Our expectations

You have experience and success with leading multiple large-scale projects/programs in which you had direct responsibility for 20 or more resources or indirectly as the manager of the program’s project manager. As a manager, we expect that you are capable of motivating and managing your project organisation by communicating goals clearly and maintaining an overview when others are not capable of doing so.

You are able to communicate with the customer so that they feel secure in your hands. This is accomplished through objective and measurable reporting, as well as effective management of project risks.

In addition to your duties as consultant in varying projects, we expect that you actively participate in the development of Raft, e.g. through:

  • Continual analysis of new project models
  • Concept and development of new standard products
  • Input on sales and marketing, including identifying sales leads

Senior Project Manager

In the role of Senior Project Manager, you have the overall responsibility for large-scale projects typically involving more than 20 resources. In your daily work, you refer directly to the Project Manager or the customer’s steering committee and you are responsible for day-to-day management of all project resources, including the customer’s own resources.

You have a well-documented background as a project manager and a higher education diploma, perhaps supplemented with one or more relevant certifications within project management. You have many years of experience as a manager of large-scale projects and are used to handling conflicts at the executive level.

In summary, we expect that you have the following qualifications:

  • A relevant higher education diploma.
  • Minimum six years’ experience with IT project management from large-scale projects, typically involving management of more than 20 resources.
  • Business experience within banking or insurance.
  • We expect that you have participated in ongoing training and education and perhaps have one or more of the following recognised certifications:
  • PRINCE2 Foundation/Practitioner, PMP or other relevant project manager certifications.
  • General knowledge of development methodology theory.
  • Experience with process descriptions or BPR.

Your duties will typically comprise:

  • Responsibility for large-scale and complex IT projects.
  • Day-to-day management and coaching of project resources.
  • Reporting to steering committee/Program Manager.
  • Budget responsibility.
  • Responsibility for timetable, quality and functionality.
